The Bachelor of International Business (BIB) gives our students first hand international experience, a foundation in all core business areas and specialized knowledge of international business.
The initial two years of the course includes foundations in international business management, financial and managerial accounting, economics, marketing, information systems, business finance and business statistics. It also includes intensive language training in one of six languages, so by the third year students are able to study abroad at a partner institution in a country determined by the language you studied in years one and two. This full academic year abroad is designed to increase language fluency and cultural knowledge. In the fourth year students return to Carleton to complete the program.
BIB study abroad locations include learning French in Belgium or France; German in Austria or Germany; Japanese in Japan; Mandarin in China; Portuguese in Brazil; and Spanish in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru or Spain.
Specializations include Global Financial Management and Systems, International Marketing and Trade and International Strategy and Human Resources Management.
Sprott’s Bachelor of International Business (BIB) celebrated 20 years in 2014.
